Cusco Walking tour Itinerary
San Pedro Market
Begin your historic tour of Cusco with a visit to the San Pedro market, which at an altitude of 3,400 m, is one of the highest in the world. Now that’s starting your morning on top of the world.
Learn about the history of the market as you explore rows of local produce, colorful fabrics, flower vendors, shaman stalls and noisy juice makers in the company of an English-speaking guide. You will have the opportunity to sample some local words and buy snacks for later. Be prepared for some entertaining local interaction.
Artisan Market
Located at the end of Avenida El Sol, Cuzco’s main avenue, the Mercado Artesanal is a tourist’s shopping paradise. Home to everything from alpacas and jewelry to the ceiling, be sure to visit before you go and stock up on all those Peruvian gifts.
Qoricancha
We will visit the Temple of the Sun or Qoricancha, an important construction during the Inka era, built in honor of the Sun God.
Cristo Blanco
Then, we will go by private transportation for a short 20-minute ride to the statue of the White Christ, where we will stop for our delicious picnic of Peruvian snacks and enjoy the beautiful panoramic views of the city of Cusco.
