To make the full day tour to Machu Picchu, very early in the morning, we will start our journey by bus to the town of Ollantaytambo through small villages. For Machupicchu full day tour we will start with transfer by bus from your hotel to Ollantaytambo train station,1.40 hours aproximatly.in this point you will board the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, a representative of the company will be waiting at the train station,then as you are ready to board the bus called CONSETTUR to Machu Picchu, where our tour guide will take you on a fascinating tour of 2 hours where you will visit the most important and interesting points of Machu Picchu . At the end,you will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch and take the train back to Ollantaytambo and this place by bus to Cusco.

Machu Picchu was built by the Inca civilization in the mid-1400s, during the reign of Inca Pachacuti. It is believed to have been used as a royal estate or religious site, but its exact purpose remains a mystery. The site was abandoned during the Spanish conquest of Peru in the 16th century and was forgotten for several centuries until it was rediscovered by American archaeologist Hiram Bingham in 1911.
The site consists of more than 200 structures, including temples, palaces, and homes, all built from massive blocks of stone that were carefully fitted together without the use of mortar. The structures were built using traditional Incan engineering techniques, such as terracing and irrigation systems, which allowed for the cultivation of crops on the steep mountain slopes.
Machu Picchu was never conquered by the Spanish, as they never discovered its existence. This, along with the site’s remote location and well-preserved structures, has made it an important archaeological site and an enduring symbol of Incan civilization. Today, it is considered one of the most important cultural and historical sites in the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
