DAY 1: : CUSCO – PISCACUCHO (KM 82) - WAYLLABAMBA
We begin the adventure of a lifetime by picking you up from your hotel between 6:00 and 6:30 am to start the trip by car to the town of Ollantaytambo.
Two hours drive where you will have the opportunity to have breakfast. Then we continue driving for another hour by the same car to the beginning of the trail Km 82 / Piscacucho.
While we are driving to the beginning of the Inca Trail 4 Days, you have the opportunity to enjoy seeing a lot of corn plantations, potato crops because the valley we take to enrich the km 82 is the sacred valley where most of the local population is engaged in agricultural activities. Once at the trailhead, we prepare to pass the first checkpoint of the entire 4-day Inca Trail.
After getting an Inca Trail 4 Days stamp in our passport, we will walk for 2 hours to reach Mesccay, where we will take a break and also have the opportunity to enjoy the local corn beer called Chicha. Then we continue the hike to the viewpoint of the Llactapata ruins to explore and also to listen to the explanation of the guide.
We walk for 30 more minutes to reach the lunch place to enjoy our delicious energetic lunch. After lunch 2.5 hours more walk to the camp located in Huayllapampa, where our team of porters and cooks set up their camp. Time to enjoy hot tea and dinner at the camp. The camp is located at 3000 m.
DAY 2: : HUAYLLABAMBA - INCA TRAIL HIGHEST POINT - PACAYMAYO
The cooks will wake you up with hot coca tea early in the morning to complete the most difficult day of the entire Inca Trail successfully.
After a nutritious breakfast, we prepare to begin the hike to the highest point of the entire Inca Trail 4212m/13818ft. 4 hours uphill hike 9km/5ml.
The trail starts at 3000m up to 4212m through a beautiful path made of stones combined with nice Inka stairs that takes you to the Inca trail pass called – WARMICWAÑÑUSCAN. (pass of the dead woman).
If the weather is good, we have the opportunity to enjoy the panoramic views of the mountains surrounding Machu Picchu and the sacred valley of the Incas.
After a while, at the pass. We begin to descend to the lunch place 2 hours walk downhill on the Inca passes we arrive at the lunch place Pacaymayo where we have lunch is also the camp, in the afternoon we provide tea time and then dinner to sleep in the camp called Pacaymayo – located at 3700 m.
DAY 3: : PACAYMAYO - PHUYUPATAMARKA - WIÑAYWAYNA
Today is the most beautiful day of the Inca Trail 4 Days because you have the opportunity to see how the landscape changes from the Andean cloud forest to the jungle area.
Hiking on a beautiful and well maintained original Inca trails and we will also visit. Phuyupatamarca (the village in the clouds). In the distance, we enjoy the view of the majestic Salkantay mountain and Wakaywillka mountain and of course the first views of Machu Picchu mountain and Huaynapicchu mountain.
After a delicious breakfast around 5:30 am we leave the camp to Phuyupatamarca 2 hours of walking uphill and then two hours more downhill on the flat Inca trail.
Once in Puyupatamarca, you have time to enjoy the views, and we also explore the beautiful archaeological site of Puyupatamarca.
Then we descend the curved Inca stairs to Intipata after 2 hours of walking we arrive at Intipata to explore the cultivated terraces and enjoy the magnificent views of the Urubamba River and its valleys then we head to the lunch spot at the wiñayhuayna camp to eat a delicious lunch.
After having time for a siesta we will explore the Inka ruins of Wiñaywayna. Then we return to the camp to enjoy tea time and the last dinner made by the camp chefs.
Day 04: Wiñay Wayna - Sun Gate - Machu Picchu - Aguas Calientes - Cusco
After getting up early and having breakfast, we wait at the checkpoint to be one of the first to start walking when they open the gate at 5:30 am. We will complete the final stretch of the Inca Trail for 2hr to Machu Picchu. After passing the last checkpoint of the Inca Trail, we walk for about 1 hour through a fairly easy trail and cloud forest to reach Inti Punku (Sun Gate).
From here we can see the sunrise over the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and the Andes. We then descend for 1 hour to approach Machu Picchu. Along the way, the views of the Inca city get better and better. Upon arrival, you will have free time to take pictures of Machu Picchu. Before the massification.
At 8 am we will arrive at the last check point and enter Machu Picchu to start the private guided tour for 2 hr. After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore the ruins of Machu Picchu on your own or climb the Huayna Picchu mountain (Huayna Picchu ticket must be arranged in advance).
When you finish exploring the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, you will take a shuttle bus to Aguas Calientes for 30 minutes to enjoy your lunch (Not included). Later, you will take a train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo where our private van will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco. Our 4-day Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu will end at your hotel.

The Inca Trail is a world-renowned trekking route in Peru that leads to the ancient Inca city of Machu Picchu. This 26-mile trail is located in the Andes Mountains and takes hikers through various terrains, including dense forests, stunning mountain passes, and ancient Inca ruins.
The Inca Trail is a challenging hike that takes four days to complete.
