Discover the charm of the Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain with our ATV tours, we leave every day from the city of Cusco by bus to the small village of Japura; this bus trip lasts approximately 3 hours.
In the small village of Japura, we will have our breakfast and then we will start driving the ATVs for about 1 hour and shortly after, we will complete this wonderful experience with a short walk of half an hour to finally reach the long awaited mountain of the seven colors.
Our expert guide will give an attractive explanation about the origin of this natural wonder and its importance for the current tourism in Cusco. We hope to count on your presence in our alternative ATV experience.

This breathtaking Rainbow Mountain Trek in One Day, or Seven Colors Mountain Trek in Cusco, will take you through a beautiful Andean valley, where you will interact with the local people who still keep alive the traditional Quechua culture. In addition, on this trek you will see isolated communities, snow-capped glacier peaks, herds of alpacas and llamas in their natural habitat, and pristine beauty; hiking through remote high altitude desert trails to the impressive Vinicunca Mountain one of Cusco’s newest natural attractions, which is located in the Vilcanota mountain range. In addition, you will witness the breathtaking view of Ausangate Mountain (6,300 masl) rising in the distance (the highest peak in the region) considered “Apu” (sacred mountain or mountain spirit) by local Peruvians and is the deity of Cusco.
The activity takes place with a guide that speaks in English, although it may occasionally be done in two languages.

ATVs to Rainbow Mountain Itinerary
The itinerary below is subject to change due to strikes, weather issues and holidays.
We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 4 am and head south on a bus journey to the foot of Rainbow Mountain.
Two and a half hours later we’ll arrive at our destination and enjoy a hearty buffet breakfast. Afterward, we’ll give you an introduction on how to drive the quad bikes.
Then we’ll hop on and drive the quads for an hour until we reach Qosqopata, where we’ll set off on an hour-long hike up the famous Rainbow Mountain. If you prefer to skip the hike, you can also reach this place by booking an optional ride on horseback or motorcycle at the destination.
After taking some impressive photos and admiring the landscape, we’ll walk back to the quads. Then we’ll drive them back to the pickup point, where we’ll enjoy a buffet lunch.
We’ll then drop you off near the Plaza de Armas in Cusco at 4 pm.
